“Parent Power” Film Premieres This Thursday, Chronicles Parent Organizing in NYC

 Join teachers, parents, students, and community members at the premiere of “Parent Power” this Thursday!

NYU’s Cantor Film Center, 36 East 8th Street (just off University Place)

*Film will be followed be a panel discussion including Randi Weingarten, President of American Federation of Teachers; Dan Cantor, Executive Director of Working Families Party; and Coalition for Educational Justice (CEJ) parent leaders.

Parents have been and will continue to fight for a better education system in New York City. A new documentary chronicles fifteen years of parent organizing for better schooling in New York City. Catch a sneak peak of this 35-minute film by viewing the trailer:
